Built with our customers, not just for them
ooptify is developed collaboratively with the practices that use it. Users are regularly invited to planning sessions, so the right priorities land on the right features. Here’s where we’re heading.
How we decide what to build
Our development process is driven by our customers. Practices using ooptify are regularly invited to participate in planning sessions where upcoming work is discussed openly and priorities are set together. If something matters to the people running practices every day, it moves up the list — it’s that simple.

What we're working towards
The near-term focus, beyond the steady stream of improvements every release carries.
Hardware integrations
Direct integrations with the equipment in your practice — and the software that drives that hardware — so results flow straight into the patient record instead of being re-keyed.
More suppliers
Growing the supplier network connected to the ooptify supplier portal, so more of your frames, lenses and contact lens ordering happens in one place.
Ongoing improvements
Alongside the bigger items, every release carries refinements raised by practices in planning sessions — workflow polish, reporting depth and quality-of-life fixes.
Further ahead
A layer of AI over the whole practice
We plan to add AI across ooptify in distinct parts — each designed to assist the people in the practice, never to take decisions away from them.
Face-to-face consultations, minimal computer time
Smart dictation
Our dream is that consultations happen face to face with minimal computer interaction. Smart dictation records the consultation and fills in or updates the details where possible — from subjective refraction results to an address change — then hands control back to you to review, amend and save. Nothing is committed without the optometrist's say-so.
A dream assistant, not a replacement
ooptify clinical AI
Reviews patient history to provide summaries, analyses images and results, and combines historical patient data with real-time data to deliver detailed, concise patient summaries before a consultation. Its job is not to replace the optometrist — it's to be the assistant that helps you reach a confident diagnosis faster.
Understand your practice, and the market around it
ooptify business AI
Developed with buying groups, business AI turns every data point into digestible insight and compares it against the market, so practices can understand their numbers and make better decisions about how they run. The same engine powers forecasting — sales, trends, cancellations and more.
Roadmap items describe planned and in-development work, not current product features. Timings and details are shaped with customers in planning sessions.
